What is it like to handle bees?

The Beekeeper Taster Days in Surrey run by Weybridge Beekeepers are your chance to experience bees first hand and find out what it is all about.
These sessions will give you an overview of beekeeping and the opportunity to get up close to the bees. This is the perfect experience if you’ve always fancied keeping bees and want to know more. We generally hold two taster days, one mid week and one at the weekend each year in August. The dates in 2024 are Wednesday 14th August at 6.30pm and Saturday 17th August at 10am.
Beekeeping jackets/suits and gloves will be provided, you just need to bring wellington boots and wear long, loose trousers. Accompanied children are also welcome, but please let us know their ages when booking.
Places are limited so please email: weybridgebees.training@gmail.com for further details and to reserve a place. There is a charge of £10 for adults; children up to the age of 18 are free but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We will respond and confirm your reservation. Fee payers who subsequently sign up for the Weybridge Beekeepers training course for new beekeepers will get a £10 discount on the course fee. See below.
